How Garment Remodelling Works
A redesign starts with an enquiry and a careful assessment of the garment and any materials you bring. This helps define what can be changed, what should be preserved, and where the fabric may limit the result.
After the review, we discuss the concept and provide a project quote based on the garment, the design direction, and the work involved. If extra materials are needed, they are quoted separately and only added with approval.
From first review to final collection, every step is shaped by the garment itself.
At Crafted Threads, remodelling begins with what the fabric can safely support. We review construction, condition, and fit goals before any concept is approved.
Our workshop handles dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, vintage fit updates, and fabric-reuse accessory projects. Where available, we also aim to match original thread and trim while keeping the redesign practical and consistent.
Once the work is complete, the garment is checked again at collection so any final adjustment can be handled carefully. The goal is a finished piece that reflects the approved design and respects the original material.
